Girls French Toast

Adrian worked late last night, so Olive and I were left to our own devices for dinner. And so, we had French toast. I don’t usually add vanilla to my batter, but I felt compelled to last night. It was nice and light and made Olive and I quite happy. (She tore through two pieces, [...]

Meat and Potatoes

We haven’t eaten a steak in quite a while, and for whatever reason I decided that I needed to have one. This was a biggie, and I am admittedly quite terrible at cooking steak. I ended up having to *shudder* microwave it towards the end as it was way too rare. But it was still [...]

Snow Storm

I am seriously over this whole snow thing. I’m ready for spring in a big way. Olive, on the other hand, still dreams of running through big drifts and making snow angels. Not likely, lady.

Adrian is taking me to the movies tomorrow. I am quite excited. Olive will be hanging with my parents. I think she will welcome the change of scenery.
Enjoy your weekend!

On Monday night, I made bagels for dinner. Literally. I boiled and baked my own bagels. It was awesome.
Firstly, the yeast that I used was a bit on the old side, so they didn’t rise as much as they should have. Secondly, my inferior rolling abilities left me with holes that were bigger than desirable. [...]

I wanted to make this pizza about two weeks ago, but things got crazy and it just didn’t happen. Needless to say, I was super excited to make it on Friday night. I LOVE POTATOES.
I peeled and diced a few potatoes, chopped up some garlic and fresh rosemary, tossed everything in olive oil and a [...]
